MAKE A MONSTER OR MUMMY MASK
A lowercase m is the perfect shape for a mask. The monster and mummy are inspired by the Fran and Maff Phonics Funsters characters.
PLAY THE M WORDS GAME
Your students can use the mask to indicate the location of the m sound in various words. Read the list of words below. If the kids hear the m sound at the beginning of the word, they should hold the mask to the right side of their face. If they hear the m sound in the middle, they should hold it over their face. If the m sound is at the end of the word, they should hold the mask to the left side of their face.
