ZOOM-ZOOM SPINNERS
You might have made a button spinner when you were a kid. This one is made out of paper. When you print the craft page on a heavier cardstock paper, cut it out, and glue the four circles together, the paper button is heavy enough to use like a plastic or wooden button.
THE SCIENCE OF COLOR MIXING
Your kids can choose certain colors to decorate their paper button. Cut out all 4 circles. Punch 2 holes in each circle. Stack all 4. Make sure the holes are lined up. Glue them together to make one thick circle. Loop a string through each hole. Knot the end of the string. Hold one end of the looped string in each hand. Spin the paper button toward yourself several times. Pull both ends of the string. The button will spin. Keep pulling on the ends of the string to keep it spinning. When the button spins, the colors blend together: yellow and blue make green, yellow and red make orange, red and blue make purple. This is a fun toy!
